Welcome to Glacier Country

Updated: Mar 4, 2020

Welcome to our vacation rental: the Red Barn! We are passionate about offering the absolute best accommodation and outfitting our loft as the perfect backdrop for your memories. We've loved hosting hundreds of folks, from near and far, over the past decade and genuinely look forward to another summer of travelers.

Having been raised on the family farm, we built the Red Barn to incorporate all the things we love about rural Montana farm life while also maintaining luxury standards we expect when we travel. Beyond the amenities of our property, what really makes the Red Barn a unique stay is the connection to nature you will feel while you are here. In the spring and early summer you can literally hear the water plummeting from the mountain. We really do live in the postcard as they say! As a frequent visitor to Glacier Park, I continue to see more wildlife off the back deck, than on the trails in the Park. At the same time, the property has all the modern conveniences, is impeccably clean and is perfectly situated as a base camp for year-round adventures in the Flathead Valley.

We think the Flathead is the ideal place to live and work, and while we have both traveled extensively across the globe, no wanderlust makes us question calling this our home. As we travel, we look for unique places to stay - we believe the places and people we've met on our adventures are as important as the places we've seen. We've worked hard to put that thought into the details of the Red Barn - so that your stay with us will be a part of your visit to Montana, not just a place you've slept.

We would love to invite you to be our guest. We offer to you our wonderful retreat and the inside scoop on what to do and where to go in the Flathead. We look forward to hearing from you.

As an introduction to us, we offer a brief bio here. Casey and I were both born and raised in Northwest Montana. In fact, I was raised right here on our adjacent family farm. After going to college and living in Oregon, we moved home to raise our children in this idyllic setting. After 14 years as a high school English teacher I now help out on the family farm, manage the property, keep a vintage and home decor shop (visit my shop Red Barn Design at Station 8 Antiques in town), and most of all-I enjoy being mom. Casey works for a global technology company and is my favorite farm boy.

We love to ski, snowshoe, kayak, bike, hike, camp, swim, boat, fish, and of course, take in the views- particularly from our back yard. Our girls are delightful and the best adventure yet. They are definitely farm girls. We also own two lovable labs named Cedar and CoCo. According to the reviews, the dog steals the show. We also raise chickens and a huge garden. Our daughters keep pigs on the farm too but you won't smell them! The newest addition to our corner of the farm is an Arabian mare named Izzy.
